I once ran a 12-person company.
We had just 2 rules, and things worked beautifully.
Most companies?
They write a new rule every time something goes wrong.
One mistake in 2017? Boom => policy, form, and mandatory training.
What worked better for us? Our 2 rules:
1️⃣ Make customers happy
2️⃣ Make your colleagues happy
That’s it. No 50-page handbook. No compliance theatre.
And if you need a philosophy to guide it all: “What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.”
That one rule alone solves 99% of workplace drama.
Bonus rule: ☕ Don’t deploy before coffee. (Unless you want to roll back at 3am.)
