Mastering Solo Parenting: My Five Tips!

For the past two months, I've been managing the home alone while my wife is overseas for work. With our 1-year-old and 3-year-old in tow, I've discovered the secrets to surviving—and even thriving.

Morning Alarm: ⏰ With less sleep these days, setting a morning alarm ensures I wake up on time. It’s a small but crucial step to kick-start the day and keep the household running smoothly.

Stick to a Routine: 📅 Kids need routine, and so do I. A consistent schedule minimizes tantrums and keeps the chaos at bay.

Separate Mealtime: 🍽️ Dinnertime chaos? Feed the kids first. Once they’re settled, I enjoy my dinner in peace. Everyone’s fed, and I get a moment of tranquility.

Food Delivery Services: 🚗💨 Instead of spending time cooking, I rely on Grab for ordering meals or head out to a restaurant when we need a change of scenery. Sure, I know ordering food all the time isn't the healthiest option, but it’s been a lifesaver and keeps me focused on the kids!

Ask for Help: 👥 The best form of automation is delegation. Whether it’s family, friends, or hiring a babysitter, accepting help makes a world of difference.

Balancing work and parenting solo isn’t easy, but with a few adjustments and strategic planning, it’s manageable. Here’s to all the parents making it work—one day at a time!
